I often read the Odyssey messageboard at www.odyclub.com and know that the transmissions have been suspect on some of the vehicles. But now Honda has admitted a problem with the 2nd gear of their 5-speed auto transmission in some Odysseys, Pilots, and Acura MDX’s and is recalling them for inspection and possible service. Not sure if our Odyssey is part of the recall as the article said “early ’04 Odysseys” and ours is fairly new, but then again, it’s only April… Oh well. At least the inspection will be free.
