We spent the weekend up in Dallas, visiting the Zoo, having dinner at Teppo and seeing all the crazy St. Patrick’s Day party peeps, and checking out the museums, including BodyWorlds, which was amazing, but kinda gross. Will post more pics later! Now I have to rest… the drive back down to Austin was crazy.

SSX Blur Update
I have unlocked all but two of the riders, and have also unlocked Peak 2! I decided to concentrate on one rider, and I chose Maya. So far my record on the half-pipe on Peak 1 is about 526,000. It’s such a fun game. Just using the nunchuk to carve is so awesome.
Vader Sessions
Next after the WEBmikey Disneyland video, this video is my favorite on YouTube. Enjoy “Vader Sessions”.
Hooters Visit
A few months ago, a couple friends and I went out to eat at Hooters. So, the food is not the main attraction of a place like Hooters of course, and hey, we are all straight guys, so sue us. But the Hooters we went to was terrible. Let me just say this. Hooters’ waitresses should not be 8-months pregnant. That is just wrong. I’m all for mothers-to-be to be working until they can’t work any more, but… at Hooters?
SSX Blur Soundtrack
Last night I bought the SSX Blur Sountrack from iTunes. It’s by Junkie XL and it’s pretty good. Most of the tunes have great basslines, and are really good driving tunes. My favorite tune is “Wanlong Mellow”, but “A51” is also great. I’d have to say that Blur is my favorite in the SSX series, and the soundtrack has a lot to do with it.
WEBmikey Disneyland Video
My friend Mikey made this cool home movie of Disneyland. But, it’s Disneyland when he was a kid, and the footage was shot by his dad on good ol’ 8mm! It’s pretty cool. I especially like the text comments that Mikey put in. Enjoy!
Animal Crossing: Wild World Mail
I turned on my DS last night and started up Animal Crossing and there was some new mail waiting for me in the mailbox. It was from Nintendo. It read:
Happy Daylight-Savings-Comes-Early Eve! Saving energy is one briiiiiiiiiiiight idea!
I thought it was pretty cool. Oh, and they gave me some big sunglasses as well.
Buzzword of the Moment
It seems the new buzzword (or buzz acronym) is “IP”, usually referring to Intellectual Property. If you want to be in-the-know, you better start using it.
Be Careful Backing Up!!!
This story about a dad who ran over his daughter is so sad. At first I was about to rail against those giant trucks/suv’s, but I just feel so bad for the family. I guess having two young kids around that age makes me think about what that dad must be going through. I can imagine Koa running out of the house in order to say goodbye to one of us as we back out of the garage, and getting hit and/or run over, and it just makes me feel sick. The line from the story that really got to me was:
Fennell attributed several such accidents to the “bye-bye syndrome,” in which the driver believes the child is inside a residence but does not notice that the child has run out in a last-second attempt to ride along or to give one more goodbye kiss.
“The time it takes for (drivers) to buckle up and get mirrors set, the little one darts behind and they don’t understand the driver can’t see them,” Fennell said.
Please remember to check behind and back up slowly!
