The Dodgers offense is like my cap: Flat.
Undo Close Tab
Firefox’s “Undo Close Tab” feature is so great for people like me. I always close tabs by mistake. But with just a simple right-click on another tab, I can select “Undo Close Tab”, and voila! Tab is back!
Paging Mr. Herman
I loved this movie.

Endless Ocean (Forever Blue フォーエバー ブルー)
Sometimes I get really excited about a game and have to get it the day it is released. The last game that was like that for me was SSX Blur. But now on the horizon is Endless Ocean for the Wii. It’s basically a scuba diving game, but it seems really cool. The music sounds great, and the sound effects are very relaxing. Visually, it looks awesome! Plus, there is supposed to be online play, where you can dive co-op with your friends (if they have the game as well).
I’m sure that this game seems boring to most people, but I love these kinds of games. Sometimes I’d rather watch something that is just plain nice to look at, and while it may be lacking in excitement or suspense, it is still satisfying to spend time playing. I am hoping that the online play is innovative and fun, though. It seems like it would be pretty cool to go exploring with others on the Wii. Also it would be nice to be able to collect sunken treasure and keep it for display to other online players.
Endless Ocean (Forever Blue フォーエバー ブルー in Japan) is due out on October 29th, and I will be picking it up as soon as I can. Check out some videos at gametrailers.com and the Japanese Forever Blue site.
Dodgers are Done
Time for my annual “The Dodgers are Done” post. That should do it.

I love this picture of the new home run king.

Sony MDR-V6
I picked up a pair of Sony MDR-V6 headphones today for listening to music at home. I used to have a pair of these about 15 years ago, and loved the sound quality. Unfortunately the pleather substance on the earphones disintegrated after a few years and I ended up throwing them away. This was really dumb of me, since you can buy replacement earcushions from Beyer that fit perfectly. In fact, people recommend that you replace the Sony earcushions with the Beyer ones immediately. Oh well, that old pair ended up in the trash, but now I have a new pair and I am loving them.
I have been using my Sony EX71’s for a while now, but the V6’s are in a totally different class. I will just say that they sound so much better than any earbuds I have ever tried. All the music sounds so amazing now! The trade-off is in the size of course. These aren’t very practical for exercise or being out and about, but for relaxing at home in a nice comfy chair, it’s perfect. Now I just need to buy a nice comfy chair.
Hal Fishman 1931-2007
Sad news for Los Angeles as Hal Fishman has died. We grew up watching Hal on KTLA. It’s strange how connected you get to newscasters. It was sad when Jerry Dunphy died as well. Hal was not only a great newscaster, but he holds several aviation records as well. Although I haven’t lived in Los Angeles for over 10 years, I could always count on seeing him on tv when I visited. RIP Hal.
Kids These Days
So I was at the Apple Store today at lunch playing with the iPhone when across the table from me a girl, who must’ve been about 12, said to her friend, “This is so cool. You can get on the Internet and check out your Myspace and everything!” She’s definitely got her priorities straight.
As a side note, the iPhone is pretty cool. I doubt I will ever get one, though. My cellphone needs to be able to fit in the coin pocket of my jeans.
